SERVICES
The OVP series of whitebox CPE's is part of OneAccess' strategy to provide CSP's a solution to more open and programmable network solutions and services.
The OVP creates a virtualized compute environment to run local virtualized network functions (VNFs) at the customer premises. Based on standard protocols and open data models, the platform provides the required hardware and software components for hosting, chaining and managing both OneAccess and third-party VNFs.
This solution enables CSPs to offer network services to their enterprise customers in a fully programmable and customized way. All functions in the OVP are configurable through a unified Netconf management interface under control of any Netconf-enabled Service Orchestrator.
The OVP800 is available as a bundled solution including white box x86 hardware, virtualization middleware and virtualized routing software. As a pre-integrated hardware and software platform it enables rapid delivery of VNF-based services at the customer premises. In addition, hardware and software have been integrated in such a way to take maximum advantage of the acceleration mechanisms available on the platform, including DPDK, SR-IOV and PCI passthrough. Carrier grade routing capabilities are supported with a virtualized version of OneOS6, the latest router operating system from OneAccess developed to support both physical and virtualized CPEs.
RESOURCES
Deployed at the customer premises, OVP is a carrier-grade virtualization solution that provides the flexibility to create and deploy new and customized virtualized services on demand.
NFV Migration White PaperWhen you ask most people what NFV means to them, service agility and time-to-revenue are the two most frequently cited answers. These are indeed two of the main end-goals of NFV but on their own they miss a vital and enabling aim: how operators and other communication service providers should go about achieving these benefits. In other words, how can they achieve the operational flexibility that is required in order to successfully undertake and complete the process of migrating network services to a virtualized operational model in a non-disruptive manner.
