Intel Network Builders delivered its first End User Summit in conjunction with Network Virtualization and SDN World in Madrid, gathering dozens of ecosystem partners and end user members for a full day of technical presentations, panel discussions, and peer-to-peer engagement.

This presentation will describe Telefonica's vision to transform most of its networks and operations, and the key role that network virtualization technologies play in this evolutionary journey, in particular, the importance of virtualizing the data plane. In order to advance the availability of these technologies, Telefónica is collaborating with the industry and has launched a set of public initiatives, such as the NFV Reference Lab and OpenMano, which eventually has resulted in close partnership efforts from more than 25 companies as part of the OSM launch.
