What is the Commercial Edge Applications Portal?

The online portal is a resource for participants in the Commercial Edge Applications portal, where participants can:

  • Market applications (products or solutions) that have been optimized for Intel® Smart Edge Open, and/or Intel® Smart Edge that run on Intel-branded hardware (“Optimized Applications and/or Network Functions”); and
  • Drive visibility for their Optimized Applications and/or Network Functions and expand market reach through the edge ecosystem across cloud service providers, communications service providers, and enterprises (among others).

Why join the Commercial Edge Applications Portal?

Featuring your Optimized Applications in this online portal will enable potential customers to quickly and easily locate your edge offerings. The Commercial Edge Applications portal:

  • Provides visibility with a wide range of network, enterprise, and cloud customers looking for vertical-specific solutions across industrial, healthcare, retail, smart cities, etc. as well as applications offering horizontal capabilities for the Edge;
  • Accelerates time-to-deployment for customers with your Optimized Applications and/or Network Functions;
  • Helps you innovate with Intel’s portfolio of products and solutions that are optimized for Edge and built to deliver edge KPIs; and
  • Helps you co-market your Optimized Applications and/or Network Functions with Intel and drives visibility with potential customers.

Expectations for Participation and Engagement

The Commercial Edge Applications portal is for partners whose products have been optimized for Intel® Smart Edge Open, and/or Intel® Smart Edge and run on Intel-branded hardware to deliver Applications and/or Network Functions for the Edge.

If accepted into the program,

  • You will be invited to provide corporate and product information that will be used to create a microsite for your Optimized Applications and/or Network Functions. The microsite must provide specific and accurate information on your Optimized Applications and/or Network Functions and will be published once complete. You will have the option to save your work-in-progress and return to complete your microsite content before publishing. You should work with your account manager least once every six months to update overview descriptions and resource links. It is also important that we have the correct primary contact for timely communication needs.
  • You will make sure that your Optimized Applications and/or Network Functions are enabled on versions of Intel® Smart Edge Open, and/or Intel® Smart Edge, which, if not the latest version, are versions no more than a year old. Intel® Smart Edge Open, and/or Intel® Smart Edge are released approximately 4 times a year (i.e. quarterly).
  • You will be asked to prove and substantiate various network edge use cases, workloads, and services on your Optimized Applications and/or Network Functions.
  • You will be asked to participate in co-marketing activities to promote your Optimized Applications and/or Network Functions and related products and programs including Intel® Smart Edge Open, and/or Intel® Smart Edge, as applicable via Intel Network Builders and other Intel Marketing Programs, and to provide Intel permission to use your brand and logo for the same.

Request to Join the Portal – Basic Information and Terms

You agree that Intel Corporation ("Intel") may, but is not obligated to, use, on a royalty-free basis, your company name and logo on the Intel® Builders website and in the Intel® Builders program such as, without limitation, in webinars, collateral (solution blueprints, solution briefs, case studies, proof of concepts), and events relating to the Intel® Builders program to promote your company and the program. Additionally, you agree that Intel may, but is not obligated to, use, on a royalty-free basis, your company name and logo at public events to demonstrate your participation in the Intel® Builders program. By clicking "Submit" you are warranting that you are officially authorized to provide your company's logo for use in the Intel® Builders program as described in these terms. Your personal information will only be used by program administrators to communicate with you directly about the program.
