Splunk Analytics for Enterprise Edge Applications

Intel and its partners, Dell Technologies, Adva, Nuage Networks from Nokia, Fortinet and Splunk, have implemented an edge-IoT reference solution that supports a fully virtualized compute node or server located at the enterprise edge, also known as universal customer premises equipment (uCPE). A new course is available that demonstrates Splunk Analytics and Intel® Secure Device Onboard (Intel® SDO) capabilities of this edge-IoT reference architecture. The Intelligent Edge: Analytics and Intel® Secure Device On-Board Demonstration showcases three different analytics use cases including security, networking, and resiliency that exhibit Splunk Analytics for enterprise edge applications.

HPE & Intel Release New Network Transformation Resources

The 5G Core is where the software-defined nature of 5G is controlled, where key operational aspects are determined. Operational processes need to be considered and evaluated in light of new frameworks such as service-based architecture and containerization, and they must be enhanced to reap new benefits with end-to-end automations. HPE and Intel have completed a series of white papers to examine the challenges and promises of a software-defined core network:

Additionally, HPE and Intel released a white paper for CoSPs grappling with the challenges of edge orchestration, showing how CoSPs can address enterprise needs and launch their businesses into an edge-powered future.

Rocket Boost Your Data Encryption with QAT Card NA 1000-L2X

With the advent of big data also arises the issue of protecting said data from falling into the wrong hands. More often than not, data encryption is the solution – but it comes with the price of power and time consumption. Entrusting the computer to perform these tasks also decreases efficiency in completing more important tasks. However, NEXCOM has a better answer: offload CPU usage to the NA 1000-L2X, a dedicated encryption card that’s based on Intel’s Lewisburg platform, embedded with two Intel® QAT engines, and connected to the CPU through the PCIe x8 interface.
