Intel® Open Network Platform

The Intel® Open Network Platform Server (Intel® ONP Server) is a server reference design (not a commercial product) that brings together key hardware and open software. These ingredients are optimized for network functions virtualization (NFV) and software defined networking (SDN) in telecom, enterprise, and cloud markets.

Intel ONP® Server provides engineering guidance and ecosystem enablement to speed up the development and adoption of NFV and SDN projects. Contributions to open source projects and standards such as Open vSwitch, DPDK, OpenStack, and OpenDaylight have played a key role in the development of Intel ONP Server; open source code developed as part of the Intel ONP Server initiative is communicated through the communities.

Through these initiatives, Intel is enabling network transformation and facilitating the delivery and deployment of flexible and low-TCO products to telecom, cloud, and enterprise customers.
