ContexNet, a Carrier-SDN solution, provides a distributed and subscriber-aware SDN fabric on which operators can overlay a variety of network functions to deliver subscribers a given service. ContexNet is composed of an SDN Controller, a Mapping Service, a software switch and APIs that serve as interfaces to external entities such as Orchestration/OSS, AAA and VNFs. The role of ContexNet is to offer logical connectivity on top of the physical network connectivity of the IP network.
