This document provides an overview and the initial performance results for validation of Viana™ by MeldCX running on Intel® Architecture Processors. Video Analytics can be performed either on CPU, on the integrated GPU, or with a dedicated GPU. The testing employed an RTSP server app that simulated the RTSP feed from the camera. The focus of this report will be to identify the boundary per server and the number of cameras it will be able to support.

Technology Guide

The most commonly utilized public key cryptosystems (RSA, ECDSA, etc.) in the pre-quantum era are constructed over finite fields. For these finite fields, the most important and time-consuming operation is the modular multiplication of integers under large moduli. Efficient implementations of multi-precision arithmetic are very critical for the performance of these cryptosystems. Intel® Advanced Vector Extensions 512 (Intel® AVX-512) based Integer Fused Multiply Add Instructions (IFMA) are utilized for multi-buffer high-throughput software implementations of RSA. This paper presents a novel Modular Multiplication algorithm that increases the throughput of multi-buffer IFMA implementations of RSA operations in the range of 10%.

Technology Guide

This document describes the new FP16 instruction set architecture for Intel® AVX-512 that has been added to the 4th generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor. The instruction set supports a wide range of general-purpose numeric operations for 16-bit half-precision IEEE-754 floating-point and complements the existing 32-bit and 64-bit floating-point instructions already available in Xeon server products. The new ISA also provides complex-valued native hardware support, making the ISA ideal for signal and media processing. This revision describes how to use the FP16 data type without hardware support.
