4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors accelerates Groundhog Technologies’ Mobility Intelligence™ Platform for superior matching of subscriber interests and geo-localization positioning in real-time
India is a remarkable example of rapid roll-out of 5G, and its Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has reported a sixfold increase in the number of base stations from early 2023 to August 2023.1 The 5G associated densification creates new opportunities for Groundhog Technologies to achieve an even higher level of accuracy for its geolocation solution, CovMo™.
Based on breakthrough research in Chaos Theory originating from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), CovMo™ is already the mobile operator’s preeminent choice for identifying and resolving the multitude of challenges facing customer experience management and network optimization. With CovMo™, mobile operators can pinpoint User Equipment (UE) locations throughout their full network, 24×7, and accurately map the radio conditions that cause poor user experience for every device in communication with a network.
However, the increased densification, higher mobility, high data rates with 5G Stand Alone (SA) also translate into larger volumes of data for CovMo™ to process with tighter real-time constraints. For instance, 100 million subscribers will generate 50 billion location records and a total data size of 100 terabytes (TB) on a daily basis.
Groundhog Technologies utilizes, among other technologies, ClickHouse, to ingest and query large volumes of data. By adding Intel In-Memory Analytics Accelerator (Intel IAA) built into 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, Groundhog Technologies CovMo™ can now access unprecedented level of computing to ingest, transform and analyze data at 5G SA scale, to deliver exceptional location tracking capability for both, indoor and outdoor.
Shaun Chang, Vice President of Groundhog Technologies, said:“Extending our proven geo-localization analytics experience with CovMo, Groundhog Technologies now introduces a subscriber-based intelligence solution; the Mobility Intelligence™ platform. The Mobility Intelligence™ solution helps mobile operators deliver precisely tailored insights for each subscriber, matching personal interests with location at all time, while respecting everyone’s privacy. We are thrilled to empower mobile operators with a new monetization platform, fueled with their own data to create new revenue streams.”
Groundhog Technologies Mobility Intelligence™ relies on complex algorithms using Deep Learning AI in conjunction with the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors for faster matching and bidding decision time in-between user location, user interests and the right marketing actions for higher customer satisfaction.
“Groundhog Technologies takes full advantage of 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors with built-in accelerators to provide mobile operators with excellent geo-localization insights in dense 5G SA networks.”said Wei-Yeang Toh, General Manager, NEX ecosystem development.“Our collaboration continues as Intel welcomes Groundhog, to the Intel 5G innovation lab in Taiwan and Intel Network Builders global testbed as a compelling analytics platform for operators to monetize their own data.”
Groundhog Technologies solutions will be visible on Intel booth at India Mobile Congress (IMC) from October 27 to October 29 and at Intel 5G innovation lab in Taiwan.
