Neil J. McRae, Group Chief Architect and Managing Director of Technology and Strategy for British Telecom spoke to recent innovations at MWC Barcelona 2022, praising the technical support from Intel Network Builders University. "Over the past few months, we've been working with Intel, Ericsson, Canonical on building BT's cloud native 5G core. This is so important for us because it allows us to build for the future workloads that the network needs to support. Being able to automate, being able to scale up and scale down, partnering with Intel, Ericsson, Canonical has been crucially important to the success of this program, so much so we're actually going to go live earlier than we planned and start migrating customers to the platform over the next 12 months. "What has been fantastic is using the Intel® Network University to upskill our engineers and learn the best and boldest ways of making this platform and then starting to think about the future. How can we take this platform to our consumers and really excited our customers - but crucially make their lives easier."
