Communication service providers are looking to move to software-based virtualized session border controllers in order to reduce costs and improve agility and scalability. Tests of the Perimeta virtual session border controller (vSBC) showed the solution delivering 1,400 calls per second and 33,000 bidirectional RTP flows on 2nd generation Intel® Xeon® processor-based servers.
