Making vRAN Software Portable Across Xeon Generations with C++ SIMD class library
C++ SIMD class library allows developers to write succinct and portable code, portable across multiple generations of Xeons, while still utilizing varying SIMD capabilities in processors for intensive workloads such as virtualized RAN. In this session, we will show how to leverage the library, and the significant reduction in lines of code achieved in high performance Intel FlexRAN software.
Nic Chautru has 20 years’ experience in wireless networking technologies. Prior to joining Intel in 2014, he was at Picochip which later became Mindspeed Technologies. He is currently a Software Engineering Technical Leader in the FlexRAN software team at Intel. He works on system modeling, vRAN acceleration, L1 software architecture, implementation and optimization.
