Application Description

Arcus Core is a unified multi-technology, carrier grade and 3GPP compliant standard solution. Built on an open Architecture, the Arcus core enables seamless integration to external elements. Arcus Converged Core is a 2G/3G/4G/5G end to end virtualized & cloud native solution, flexible to accommodate new customer requirement due to the compact size and space optimization. Autoscaling and high availability is assured through policies configured by taking advantage of Virtualized and cloud native architecture.

Hybrid Cloud Deployment

CNFs on Hybrid cloud deployment, the benefits of both Public cloud and Edge cloud are leveraged to scale out the network functions rapidly whilst providing better throughput and lower latency through User Plane Function at edge.

Network Slicing

Network Slicing to accommodate requirements of various services and applications like Autonomous Vehicles, Telemedicine/HealthCare, enterprises etc.

Hybrid Network

Hybrid Network with interoperability for subscribers between Private/Enterprise Mobile Network and Public MNOs.

Core as a service

Centralized 5GC Control Plane on public cloud that is shared with multiple-sites, and UPF is co-located with radio performing traffic steering and Local breakout. Reduced OPEX and Flexible Network Design.

3GPP Interoperability and integration to 3rd party network elements. Integration to existing network (2G, 3G, 4G and 5G), to 3rd party Radio Access Network vendors and Billing Network.

Arcus Core – Edge deployment

Arcus core functions (Control & User plane) are deployed at Network Edge location to support access to edge applications as well as the internet. UPF routes the local traffic towards the Edge applications and the rest to the internet, ensuring mission critical traffic stays local and there is ultra-low latency along with support for high data rates.

Usage

Repository

The Arcus Core is available in the edge apps repository. To obtain it, clone the repo.

$ git clone https://github.com/open-ness/edgeapps

Then, into the applications/arcuscore folder, there is a helm chart folder for installing it.
Please upload the docker images received from Blue Arcus before you install the helm chart.

Install the Chart

helm install arcus5g . -n 5gcore
