The purpose of this course is to provide the learner with an understanding of Network Interface technologies as part of the Network Transformation to Cloud. The course describes the capabilities and benefits of Intel® Infrastructure Processing Unit (Intel® IPU) and identifies Intel® IPU products and use cases including where to access developer resources.

Chapter Overview
The purpose of this lesson is to discuss some of the origins of Intel® IPU. We consider a number of important network transformation technologies from Intel and discuss the Intel® SmartNICs and the Intel® IPU, both developed by Intel to meet the growing needs of Infrastructure Transformation and Evolution for Cloud Service Providers.
