Intel® Network Builders Winners' Circle: Awarding Solution Advancement and Technical Innovation
In keeping with Intel® Network Builders' goal of accelerating network transformation and promoting solution innovation, last month Intel announced it will launch the Intel® Network Builders Winners' Circle program. This program is aimed at recognizing and awarding networking and communications ecosystem partners that are leading the industry with flexible, optimized, and tested solutions.
Open to all Intel Network Builders ecosystem partners, the Intel Network Builders Winners' Circle program will involve contests on a semiannual basis. The entries will be judged against a set of guidelines aligned with the industry's transformational needs, industry initiatives, and innovative solutions.
The winners will be awarded with a comprehensive co-marketing and promotions benefit package with Intel including participation in relevant end-user events and programs.
For more information about the Intel Network Builders Winners' Circle program, read this blog post by Chandresh Ruparel, Director, Ecosystem Strategy and Intel Network Builders. For additional information about the contest, key dates, guidelines, and the process for submitting entries, please contact your Intel Network Builders alliance manager or account representative.
Intel® Network Builders University Offers New Courses on SDN Testing, vIMS
The Intel® Network Builders University provides relevant educational content to ecosystem partners and end users so they can stay current on the newest technologies and innovations affecting network transformation. New material is added to the curriculum offering each month. There are now more than 100 courses available across four languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese) through Intel Network Builders University.
This month's new content:
The online portion of Intel Network Builders University is available to all Intel® Network Builders program members and the public through a simple registration here. Intel Network Builders University is one of three learning centers in Intel® Builders University, which also includes the Intel® Cloud Builders University and Intel® Storage Builders University. Registrants have access to all of the content in the three learning centers and the new courses added each month.
Please take a look, and after exploring the offerings, let us know what content you would like to see added to the university.
Welcome Our New Ecosystem Partners and End Users
With more than 265 ecosystem partners, the Intel® Network Builders program continues to grow! We welcome new partners Aethra Telecommunications,* Altran,* and Data Ductus,* and new end user member C Spire.*

Register Now for the OPNFV* Euphrates Plugfest
The fourth OPNFV* Plugfest, focusing on the Euphrates release, will take place December 4 to 8 in Hillsboro, Oregon, at Intel's Jones Farm Conference Center. The OPNFV Plugfest is a hands-on, technical event consisting of both preplanned and ad-hoc test activities, including interoperability of the OPNFV platform in deployment, network integration, VNF applications, etc. While the agenda for this Plugfest is still under development, planning is underway.
Both OPNFV members and non-members are welcome to attend. At the OPNFV Plugfest, open source and commercial vendor solutions give end users and vendors the ability to try new hardware, installers, scenarios, test cases, and tools while coming together as a community and solving problems collaboratively. The presence of project technical leads and many technical experts makes it easy to solve problems and get feedback.
To see outputs from the last OPNFV Plugfest, read this white paper and blog.
The event is free to attend, and there is no registration deadline. However, space is limited, so secure your spot today.
Intel® VNF Next Virtual Conference
On November 13, join Intel® VNF Next Virtual Conference to further your VNF skills. Attendees will learn valuable tips and tricks from field experts on how to develop and manage VNFs for 5G and IoT use cases. There will be 20 featured talks, and hands-on virtual demos and labs.
Don't miss out! For more information and to register, visit the event webpage. Please email louisa@bemyapp.com if you have any questions.
This conference is designed to help VNF developers get ready for the next generation of containerized, high-performant VNF requirements for 5G and IoT. Participation in this conference qualifies you to participate in a plugfest to follow in December, where you can show off your VNFs to the industry on a common Intel architecture-based platform.
Check your local Out of the Box Meet Up site for information on watch parties:

December VNF Plugfest
To follow the November event, the global community of network software developers is invited to a full-day virtual conference with three tracks of deep-dive technical discussions, hands-on trainings, and labs on VNF containerization, 5G/IoT use case support, and zero-touch environment management. Stay tuned for more details.
Register Now for ETSI* NFV PlugTest*
ETSI's* Centre for Testing and Interoperability is organizing the second NFV Plugtests* event on January 15-19, 2018. The event will be hosted in ETSI's headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France.
This recipe applies the General Exploration analysis of the Intel® VTune™ Amplifier to analyze a DPDK-based application for potential misconfiguration problems on a multi-socket system.
The optimization technique used in this recipe relies on the Intel® Data Direct I/O Technology.
Learn how to configure mergeable, vector, and non-mergeable Tx/Rx paths for DPDK vhost/virtio. Compare performance numbers using testpmd in a Physical-VM-Physical test.
This guide is an overview of tools for advanced technologies in SDN and NFV. It covers DPDK, Open vSwitch,* SR-IOV, FD.io,* and VPP, and describes virtualization scenarios using one or more of the tools.
This video provides in-depth instructions to install and configure Intel® QuickAssist Technology with OpenSSL1.1.0.
