MinIO Raises Series B with Intel Capital and Updates Benchmarks

MinIO, the company behind multi-cloud object storage suite, announced it had raised $103M in its Series B. The round, led by Intel Capital and adding new investor Softbank will enable the company to accelerate its go-to-market machinery. MinIO just released updated benchmarks, exceeding 325 and 165 GiB/sec GET/PUT throughput on just 32 nodes of NVMe. At these speeds any workload comes into play from databases to AI/ML. At only 100MB for the executable, MinIO is the leading object store for edge deployments, industrial IOT and edge cache.

Increase CDN Channel Density at a Reduced TCO with Intel® OptaneTM Technology

The paper details AT&T and Intel® collaboration to demonstrate a foundational architecture for the next generation of open standards-based high performance CDNs; this includes benchmarks on 2nd and 3rd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors with Intel® Optane™ Persistent Memory (PMem) technology as the elements to increase video stream density per CDN node, while lowering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
