Intel® Network Builders University Memory and Storage Program

The Intel Network Builders University’s Memory and Storage program is designed to provide a foundation for understanding data storage, technology, and architectures such as the Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK), Persistent Memory and Ceph Clusters.

The Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK) 201 series provides a deeper understanding of the capabilities provided by the SPDK stack and insight into Storage Virtualization and Storage Disaggregation. Courses include:

There are more than 229 courses available across five languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese & Korean), with new content released each month. The online portion of the university is available to Intel® Network Builders program members through a simple registration here and for the public here. Intel Network Builders University is one of three learning centers in Intel® Builders, which also includes the Intel® Data Center Builders University and Intel® AI Academy. Registrants have access to content in both learning centers.

Announcing the launch of Converged Edge Insights software package on Edge Software Hub!

Converged Insights software package combines various Intel SDKs such as OpenNESS, OpenVINO & OpenVisualCloud to converge diverge workloads for Networking, AI Inferencing/Vision and media into a single downloadable SW package for our ecosystem partners and customers. It helps accelerate the development and deployment of platforms targeted at converged use cases by  merging all these diverse workloads into a unified common infrastructure. In addition to the package, there is also a Smart City Reference Implementation that leverages the package for “Wireless -Network Ready Intelligent Traffic Management”. In addition to these, recommended Devkits, RRKs and MRS for converged edge solutions can also be found on ESH.

Intel Tests Versa Operating System (VOS) SD-WAN on HPE Telco Blueprint Solutions

In order to quantify the performance of virtualized SD-WAN solutions, Intel coordinated a test of the Versa Networks SD-WAN software running on a uCPE from Hewlett Packard Enterprise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenStack Platform. In an optimized environment, the tests showed consistent, repeatable, and deterministic SD-WAN performance.

Rohde & Schwarz Tests Deep Packet Inspection for 5G Networks

Deep packet inspection (DPI) is a critical element of 4G/5G wireless networks as it is mandatory for application awareness and flow prioritization for proper service delivery and high quality of experience. Tests of R&S®PACE 2 DPI performance show a 33.8% increase on Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor-based servers when upgrading to a new CPU and demonstrate the performance impact between aligned vs misaligned non-uniform memory access (NUMA) in dual socket systems.

T-Systems uses Intel SGX to enable Privacy in the Cloud
