Intel® Select Solutions for uCPE – ADVA Ensemble Connector* Configurations
Last month, Intel and ADVA announced the new Intel® Select Solutions for uCPE with ADVA Ensemble Connector.* These universal CPE (uCPE) systems bring the powerful performance of Intel® Xeon® D processor-based systems to the edge of communication service provider networks for agile service provisioning. They incorporate Ensemble Connector, which is designed to host multivendor VNFs. The platform comes with advanced networking support, including MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 compliant services, support for popular virtual routing protocols, and for industry-standard encapsulation and tunneling formats. The Ensemble Connector also supports OpenStack* controller and OpenStack Compute for cloud services.
Lineup of Verified Intel® Select Solutions for uCPE Expands
Several Intel® Network Builders ecosystem members recently announced newly verified Intel® Select Solutions for uCPE, using either the Ubuntu* or new ADVA Ensemble Connector* configurations. These solutions reduce complexity in deploying a broad set of network services and have been verified by Intel to meet a specified minimum level of workload-optimized performance capability.
